Yarm School Development Plans

22 Jun 2012

Eaglescliffe councillors Alan Lewis and Maureen Rigg are angry at the way in which Yarm School, Bellway Homes and Theakston Estates have treated Eaglescliffe over their plans. Proposals to put rugby pitches, Cricket pitches, a pavilion, rounders courts and athletics track on a swathe of land between Egglescliffe village and the river along with a footbridge to connect them to Yarm were drawn up without any consultation and presented to the public yesterday at a "Community Involvement" event held in Conyers School. The event was arranged at such short notice that our Focus leaflet went to print before the event was arranged and is still being delivered by volunteers after the event has happened.

No electronic copies of the plans have been made available yet, but there are photographs of the display boards at the event on the website of Protect Yarm - Leven Valley at http://www.shadowfusion.co.uk/levenvalley/?page_id=116

When we get some proper plans we will share them here.
