Stockton North MP Alex Cunningham has resigned as Shadow Pensions minister in opposition to the Labour hierarchy's stance on Brexit and Britain's place in the Customs union. This along with Dr Paul Williams article in the New Statesman about how Brexit will negatively impact a struggling NHS shows the deep rift that is occurring in the parliamentary Labour Party regarding Brexit.
Brexit will be terribly damaging to jobs, business, the NHS, the economy, trade and how people live their day to day lives. Only the Liberal Democrats are the party to actively campaign to remain in the Customs Union and the Single Market and hold a second referendum on the Brexit deal.
