Speed Traps

The speed limit on the Ring Road, from Sainsbury's to Hartburn Lane / Darlington Road junction has been dropped from 40 to 30 m.p.h for about 9 months now, but many motorists (97%!) have not noticed and are being caught on camera. Suzanne had asked for extra signs but the Government will not allow it.

The speed limit on the other part of the Ring Road from Sainsbury's to Norton Church roundabout will be dropping to 30 m.p.h. soon, so do watch out for this.

Julia is now asking for better ways of advertising this, and for signs which alert drivers to their speed (as in Darlington) to be used.
