Save the Character of Yarm & Eaglescliffe
Stockton Liberal Democrats are supporting the partners in the Western Area Partnership Board of Stockton Renaissance in demanding that the character of Eaglescliffe & Yarm is preserved against poor planning decisions. The Board is organising a petition which can be downloaded from the "Download Focus" button at the left of the page.
The petition reads:
We, the undersigned residents of the Borough, request that the character of Yarm and Eaglescliffe be preserved. Furthermore we believe that in view of the Localism Bill currently going through Parliament, the work so far carried out for the Yarm and Eaglescliffe Area Action Plan should be used as the basis for a "Neighbourhood Plan" for that area. We call upon Stockton Borough Council to take all the necessary steps to enable this.
If 2000 or more residents of Stockton-on-Tees sign the petition Stockton Council is forced to debate the issue in public at a full council meeting.
Please download the form, print it off and collect signatures but remember they must be residents of the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees.
