RECYCLE YOUR BICYCLE - A NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION

22 Dec 2006

IF ANYONE in your family is expecting Santa to drop off a new bike on Christmas morning please don't scrap your old one.

Stockton Borough Council, in partnership with FRADE, is putting the wheels in motion by launching a community bicycle recycling scheme early in the New Year.

All bikes are accepted, in any condition, because even the oldest bike will have at least a few parts on it that can be taken off and used as spares.

Old bikes can be dropped off at a number of Bicycle Recycling Roadshows being held around the Borough.

16 January - Asda Portrack - 10am-2pm

17 January - Forum Billingham - 10am -2pm

23 January -Whinstone Primary School Ingleby Barwick - 9am-10am

25 January - Elm Tree Community Centre, Stockton 1pm - 3.45pm. You can also take bikes to the permanent collection point at The Household Waste Recycling Centre at site at Haverton Hill.
