MILE HOUSE TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENT DIVERSIONS

MILE HOUSE JUNCTION IMPROVEMENTS

Work will begin on these long awaited improvements at this junction on 25th June 2007, and will take around 12 weeks to complete. Whilst the work is being carried out it will mean that there will be a number of temporary closures of roads.

The only closure in the Bishopsgarth and Elm Tree Ward will be on what is called the "west leg" which is the Bells Store side of the traffic lights near to the entrance to Newham Grange Park. These are expected to be on one or two Sundays towards the end of the works. However there will be a number of diversions for traffic, particularly traffic coming north from the roundabout on the ring road up Durham Road towards the Mile House.

The details are quite complicated and we have put them onto our website at stocktonlibdems.org.uk/resources/index/

These are the original documents from the Council's Transportation section. Please contact them or ourselves if you need any further information.
