Liberal Democrats hold Stockton Council to account

8 Sep 2009

Liberal Democrats will be asking questions of Stockton Council's Cabinet at the Council meeting tomorrow, Wednesday 9th September.

"Where can our young people go to enjoy themselves and use up their energy?"

"What is the council doing to help small businesses?"

"How many £millions have been paid to government from council house rents?"

"Why is Stockton Riverside Festival still not easily accessible to disabled people?"

Each question will be followed up with supplementary questions to try to get answers for local people.

Maureen Rigg, leader of the Liberal Democrats on Stockton Council said "We are determined to get answers for our residents. The council's cabinet makes decisions and we intend to hold them to account. They must explain what they are doing in these difficult times to get the best for local people."
