1. Urlay Nook Road

a. Work by Northumbrian Water will begin on Urlay Nook Road outside Oakmount on the 19th February for two days. Work will involve the use of temporary traffic signals (off-peak).

b. Footpath reconstruction works have begun on Urlay Nook Road between Marion Avenue and South View. Works will involve the use of stop-go boards (off-peak).

2. Butts Lane

Officers' Traffic Group will make a site visit on 22-2-07 to investigate problems with parking on grass verges opposite Egglescliffe CE Primary School and discuss them at their meeting on 1-3-07.

3. Swale Close

Officers' Traffic Group will make a site visit on 22-2-07 & at their meeting on 1-3-07 will consider applications from residents for an advisory disabled bay near No. 6.

4. Yarm Road

a. Stockton Council engineers are considering experimental (for 12 months) 24-hour waiting restrictions on the W side outside the site of Parklands Garage and thence to the corner of South View. Comments by 26-2-07.

b. Stockton Council have received a planning application for the erection (for 2 years) of a free-standing non-illuminated "V" board advertising sign with flag poles in the grounds of The Bungalow, The Avenue. Comments by 6-3-07.

5. Eaglescliffe Station

An article in this month's Modern Railways on the proposals for a Tees Valley metro states that there would be a grade-separated railway junction at Eaglescliffe. Metro trains (every 15 minutes) between Darlington & Saltburn would replace the present Northern Rail service, sharing the present tracks from south of Darlington to Eaglescliffe with other train operators and thence running on their own tracks to Middlesbrough and beyond. They would serve the existing Allen's W Station and a new Eaglescliffe Station. If these proposals happen, the earliest completion date for the metro system would be 2011.

6. Cleasby Way

Stockton Council planners have approved a single-storey extension to the Oakwood Centre to create a function area & coffee bar.
