Conference Report
20 Sep 2008

Stockton's representatives at the Federal Party conference in Bournemouth included Jacquie Bell our PPC. Jacquie spoke in the debate on pensions, pointing out the need for flexible arrangements to allow as many older people as possible to manage their own affairs with dignity. She spoke of the problems experienced by some who have moved into residential and care homes.
Jacquie also discussed with Vince Cable some of the ways in which people could be helped during the present crisis in the housing market.
All of the representatives attended a reception hosted by ALDC and the Co-op to promote the Fairtrade movement.
