Elton Lane The planning application 07/3477/FUL for the erection of a detached dwelling & garage in the grounds of 14 Butterfield Grove has been withdrawn. 2. 1 South View There is an appeal against Stockton Council's planners' refusal of the revised retrospective application 07/2341/FUL for Residential development for the erection of apartment building containing 7 no. units of accommodation and associated car parking (demolition of existing dwelling house). A Planning Inspector will deal with the appeal by written representation procedure (i.e. an exchange of written statements with the Local Planning Authority together with a visit to the site by the Inspector). Any written representations need to reach him by 18-3-08, either via the Appeals area of the Planning Portal (www.planningportal.gov.uk/pcs) or in triplicate by post to The Planning Inspectorate, Rose Holland, Room 3/18a, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 6PN, quoting reference no. APP/H0738/A/08/2062383/NWF. 3. 5 Wear Crescent There is an appeal against Stockton Council's planners' refusal of the application 07/1492/FUL for change of use from open space to garden and two storey extension to side and single storey extension to front. A Planning Inspector will deal with the appeal by written representation procedure (i.e. an exchange of written statements with the Local Planning Authority together with a visit to the site by the Inspector). APP/H0738/A/08/2065326/WF. 4. Eaglescliffe Station a. On World Book Day 6-3-08, staff from Stockton Council's Library Service will be setting up stalls to distribute books, library membership forms and information on RaW, the BBC's reading and writing campaign, in goody bags. Two members of the Library Service will be on the 7.29am train from Eaglescliffe to London, talking to passengers and inviting them to choose a free, Quick Read Book and providing information about World Book Day and the Library Service. b. Grand Central Railroad has commenced its full timetable of 3 daily services each way between London King's Cross, York, Thirsk, Northallerton, Eaglescliffe, Hartlepool & Sunderland. Teesdale Way Yarm Town Council's Chair of Recreation has suggested to a meeting of Stockton Council's Arts, Leisure & Culture Select Committee that there be a leisure facility for canoeists on the Vinegar Brewery site, with a building nearer Yarm Viaduct than Yarm Bridge.
